Dr. Kuchem graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Highest Distinction. She earned both a Masters in Vision Science and her Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. After working for three years at the University of Kansas Medical Center as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, she and her husband moved back to Virginia where she has been in private practice ever since. She enjoys practicing general optometry with a special emphasis on myopia management and ocular disease. She is currently a member of the American and Virginia Optometric Associations, the Northern Virginia Optometric Society, the Virginia Academy of Optometry, the American Academy of Optometry, and a Diplomate in the American Board of Optometry. In her free time, she enjoys building Magnatile towers and discovering new playgrounds with her husband and two small children.
Dr. Kuchem currently sees patients in Falls Church.
