Dr. Snively has been practicing Optometry in Northern Virginia for 33 years. An Illinois native, she graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. She is an alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she did internships at the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota and the Lynch Pediatric Unit of the Eye Institute of PCO. Dr. Snively has been a clinical investigator for contact lens companies including Vistakon, Bausch and Lomb and Alcon. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Dr. Snively specializes in the fitting of contact lenses, the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases and the co-management of laser refractive surgery. Dr. Snively had LASIK in 1999 and is currently seeing 20/20. She is a mother with four grown children and enjoys reading books, gardening and watching ice hockey.
Dr. Snively is retired as of December 31, 2024 and is no longer accepting new patients.
